We want this site to work for everyone, including people who use assistive technology. Here is where we stand and how to tell us when we fall short.

Our goal

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities.

What we have built in

  • Semantic, structured HTML with a single clear heading order on each page.
  • Keyboard access to interactive elements, with visible focus outlines.
  • A "skip to content" link and descriptive link text.
  • Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
  • Respect for the reduced motion setting: animations are minimized or removed when you ask your device for less motion.
  • Color and contrast chosen for readability.

Ongoing work

Accessibility is not a one-time task. As we add pages and features, we test and refine them. If you use assistive technology and something here is hard to use, we want to know.
