Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with a wide range of abilities.
What we have built in
- Semantic, structured HTML with a single clear heading order on each page.
- Keyboard access to interactive elements, with visible focus outlines.
- A "skip to content" link and descriptive link text.
- Text alternatives for meaningful images, and decorative graphics hidden from screen readers.
- Respect for the reduced motion setting: animations are minimized or removed when you ask your device for less motion.
- Color and contrast chosen for readability.
Ongoing work
Accessibility is not a one-time task. As we add pages and features, we test and refine them. If you use assistive technology and something here is hard to use, we want to know.
